Ready Review.

Mr R’n’B, Trey Songz is back with new album “Ready”. The highly anticipated album was released a day before its due date, the 31st Of August. Since then, it has not moved from the top spots on the itunes chart. First week of sales Ready was placed at #2 on itunes album charts, selling 131,000 copies. But since then the Atlantic Records artist, has taken the two top spots, with Ready, and the deluxe version of the album.

Tremaine Neverson, or known as his stage name Trey Songz, first came into the limelight in 2005, with his first studio album “Gotta Make It”, with singles like “Gotta Make It”,and “Gotta Go”. Trey continued to drive his lady fans wild, as he came out with his 2nd studio album titled “Trey Day” in 2007, releasing songs such as “Wonder Woman”, “Last Time”, and ”Missing You”. With release of his 2nd album, Trey got his first Grammy nomination for hit song “Cant Help But Wait”. For 2 years the Songz buzz stayed going, as he released mixtapes such as ladies choice, swagger like songs, genesis, and of course anticipation. The Ladies of the world, went wild as the 31st Of August approached. And the rest is history, as “Ready” came out.

“Ready” consists of 17 songs, all of which can make any woman go into cardiac arrest by just listening to his irresistible voice, and smooth choice of words. An impressive line up joined forces with Trey on the album such as, Young Money star Drake, featuring on two songs, “Invented Sex” and new single “Successful”. Fabolous tagged along, on the up beat track “Say Aah” , Another hit maker SouljaBoy-Tell Em and Gucci mane also lent their vocals in song “LOL :)”. No album by Trey Songz would be complete without some slow jams/baby-making music, and Trey didnt leave us hanging, he gave us songs such as “Neighbours know my name”, “Does he do it”, and “Ready to make love” , to satisfy our needs. Theres also a “make-up” hook on their such as “One Love”, this song also proves that Trey is a guy full of love, he wants to share, with a VERY special girl, and also “Holla If You Need Me”, But if your thinking i gotta break up with my girl, well theres a song for that to, “Black Roses” Trey teamed up with Brandon Green, Troy Taylor, Edrick Miles, and Bei Maejor Music, to create one of the highlights on the album. Our favourite song from Anticipation “Yo Side Of The Bed” also made a feature on the album. Other songs such as “Jupiter Love”, “Be Where You Are” and hit single “I Need A Girl” add to the love that Trey’s trying to share.

My overall rating of this album is definitely 5 stars. Mr.Songz proved he is one of the best R’n’B artist around right now. Everybody will love this album, not only is it for the ladies, but the men can also relate to some of the things that Trey is trying to get out there. Fans should be happy about this album, Trey definitely upped his game in making this album, he broadened his horizons and proved that he here to stay.

With sucess of his album “Ready” i really hope Trey goes on his first world tour. The world beyond America wants some Trey Too!
